Spam and Platform Manipulation Policy

This policy explains what counts as spam or platform manipulation on Xiam, and how we enforce it. The goal is to keep debates, votes, follower counts, and engagement numbers genuine.

1. Prohibited: Spam

You may not:

• Post repetitive, unsolicited content across multiple debates, comments, or messages
• Send unsolicited bulk messages to users you don't know
• Post content whose primary purpose is to drive traffic to an external site, product, or service unrelated to genuine participation on Xiam
• Use automated tools (bots) to post, comment, message, or otherwise act on Xiam without our authorization

2. Prohibited: Platform Manipulation

You may not:

• Create or operate fake accounts, or networks of fake accounts ("bot networks")
• Engage in or facilitate coordinated inauthentic behavior — accounts working together to artificially amplify or suppress content or accounts
• Artificially inflate likes, views, debate votes, follower counts, or other engagement metrics, including through third-party services
• Use multiple accounts to vote on your own debates
• Buy, sell, or trade accounts, votes, follows, or engagement
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, CAPTCHAs, account restrictions, device restrictions, IP restrictions, or other anti-abuse mechanisms
• Create accounts in bulk for future sale, manipulation, or automated use ("account farming")
• Coordinate to artificially increase or suppress the ranking, visibility, or recommendation status of content in Discover, including through engagement groups, coordinated sharing schemes, or automated interactions

Protecting the authenticity of debate participation and voting is a fundamental objective of this policy. Conduct that undermines the fairness or credibility of debate outcomes may result in immediate enforcement action.

Legitimate Promotion Is Allowed

Sharing your own debates, videos, or profile on external platforms to invite genuine participation is permitted. The prohibition in this section applies to artificial or deceptive engagement practices, not genuine self-promotion.

3. Phishing and Malicious Links

You may not post links that lead to phishing pages, malware, or attempts to steal account credentials or personal information.

4. Reporting Abuse, Not Disagreement

Filing false, malicious, or coordinated reports against users or content solely because of disagreement with their opinions is itself a form of platform manipulation and may violate this policy. Coordinated reporting campaigns intended to silence, suppress, or punish users for lawful opinions or participation in debate are prohibited. 5. Enforcement

• Our systems include server-side rate limiting on actions like debate creation, comments, messages, follows, and reports to reduce automated abuse
• Detected fake accounts and bot networks are removed
• Engagement manipulation (vote/like/view inflation) is reversed where detectable, and offending accounts are subject to warnings, suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity and repetition
• Coordinated manipulation campaigns may result in immediate permanent bans across all participating accounts
• Xiam may use technical signals, including account behavior, device information, IP information, and engagement patterns, to investigate suspected manipulation and enforce this policy
• Xiam may invalidate votes, remove artificial engagement, adjust metrics, or declare debate results void where we reasonably determine that manipulation materially affected the outcome
• Xiam may deny restoration requests where manipulation was deliberate, coordinated, or repeated

Future Monetization and Rewards

If Xiam introduces monetization, creator rewards, premium subscriptions, or referral bonuses in the future, users may not create multiple accounts to obtain free trials, rewards, incentives, or promotional benefits. [DORMANT CLAUSE — applies once such features launch]

6. Reporting

You can report suspected spam, fake accounts, or manipulation using the in-app reporting tool.

7. Appeals

If your account was actioned and you believe this was a mistake, you can appeal through the process described in our Enforcement and Appeals Policy.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as Xiam's features and community standards evolve. Material changes will be noted in-app.
