Creator Monetization Policy

[DORMANT CLAUSE] This policy applies only once Xiam launches monetization features (such as creator payouts, tipping, subscriptions, or revenue sharing). It is published in advance so the framework is ready and so users understand it will govern any future monetization features, but it confers no rights or obligations until such features are live. Xiam will provide notice in-app and update the Effective Date above when this policy becomes active.

This policy will govern any program through which Xiam allows users ("Creators") to earn money or other compensation through their activity on the platform.

1. Eligibility (Future)

When monetization launches, eligibility will likely require, at minimum:

• A verified account in good standing
• Compliance with all Xiam policies, including Community Guidelines
• Meeting any minimum activity, follower, or engagement thresholds set at the time of launch
• Providing required tax and payment information
• Creators must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, and legally capable of receiving payments, unless Xiam expressly permits otherwise

Specific eligibility criteria will be published when the relevant feature launches.

2. Prohibited Conduct (Future)

Once monetization is active, Creators will not be permitted to:

• Use multiple accounts to obtain monetization eligibility, bonuses, or payouts they would not otherwise qualify for
• Artificially inflate engagement to increase earnings (see our Spam and Platform Manipulation Policy)
• Misrepresent themselves, their content, or their qualifications to attract paying users or sponsors
• Use monetization features to facilitate scams, fraud, or solicit payments outside Xiam's official payment system in violation of these terms

3. Revenue Share and Payouts (Future)

Specific revenue-share percentages, payout thresholds, payment methods, and schedules will be defined in a separate Creator Payment Terms document published at the time monetization launches, and will be incorporated into this policy by reference.

Xiam reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any monetization program at any time, subject to applicable law and any accrued payment obligations.

4. Tax Responsibility (Future)

Creators will be solely responsible for determining and paying any taxes owed on amounts earned through Xiam, in accordance with applicable Nigerian and/or local tax law.

5. Suspension of Monetization Privileges (Future)

Xiam may suspend or revoke a Creator's monetization eligibility, separate from broader account enforcement, where:

• The Creator violates this policy or other Xiam policies
• Xiam determines the Creator's content or conduct creates reputational, legal, or safety risk
• Required verification or tax information is not provided or becomes invalid

Xiam may delay, withhold, adjust, or recover payments where there is a reasonable belief of fraud, engagement manipulation, policy violations, payment errors, or legal compliance concerns.

6. Relationship to Other Policies

This policy supplements, and does not replace, Xiam's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and other policies, all of which continue to apply to Creators.

7. Status

This policy is currently dormant. It will be activated, and users notified, when Xiam launches creator monetization features. Until then, no monetization program exists on Xiam and this policy has no operative effect.

Before this policy becomes active, Xiam will provide notice in-app and update the Effective Date and Last Updated fields. Continued participation in monetization features after activation constitutes acceptance of this policy.
