Xiam Technologies Limited

Community Guidelines

Effective Date: June 19, 2026

Xiam exists to host honest, energetic debate and conversation. These Guidelines explain what's allowed and what isn't, so the platform stays safe, fair, and worth using. They apply to everything you post or do on Xiam — Debates, Discover videos, Stories, comments, profiles, and messages.

Violating these Guidelines can result in content removal, account restrictions, or a permanent ban. See our Enforcement and Appeals Policy for how decisions are made and how to appeal.

1. Debate Fairly

Xiam's core feature is structured debate between two users. We ask that you:

Good-Faith Debate and Disagreement

People on Xiam will strongly disagree. Disagreement, criticism, unpopular opinions, and vigorous debate do not by themselves violate these Guidelines. We distinguish between attacking ideas and attacking people. Content is more likely to violate our policies when it includes threats, targeted harassment, dehumanization, or coordinated abuse — not simply because someone else disagrees with or dislikes it.

2. No Child Sexual Abuse Material or Child Exploitation

This is a zero-tolerance, non-negotiable rule. Xiam strictly prohibits:

We use automated detection plus human review to identify this content, remove it immediately, ban the account permanently, and preserve evidence. Xiam may preserve evidence and report such material to appropriate authorities and organizations, including NAPTIP, NCMEC, or other entities, as required or permitted by applicable law. See our full Child Safety Standards Policy.

3. No Sexual Content or Nudity (With Limited Exceptions)

Xiam is not a platform for pornographic or sexually explicit content. Prohibited:

See our Sexual Content and Nudity Policy for limited exceptions (such as artistic, medical, or news context) and how they're evaluated.

4. No Graphic Violence

Prohibited:

See our Violence and Graphic Content Policy.

5. No Harassment or Hate Speech

You may not:

See our Harassment and Hate Speech Policy.

6. Privacy and Personal Information

Do not share someone else's private information without their permission, including:

7. No Promotion of Suicide or Self-Harm

You may not:

Content discussing recovery, prevention, or seeking help is allowed and encouraged. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a crisis line or trusted professional — Xiam is not a substitute for emergency or mental health support.

8. No Illegal Activity or Dangerous Organizations

You may not use Xiam to:

See our Dangerous Organizations and Illegal Activities Policy.

9. No Fraud or Scams

You may not use Xiam to engage in or promote:

10. No Spam or Platform Manipulation

Prohibited:

See our Spam and Platform Manipulation Policy.

11. Be Honest About Who You Are

See our Verification and Impersonation Policy.

12. Respect Intellectual Property

Only post content you own or have permission to use. If you believe someone has infringed your copyright, see our Copyright Policy for how to submit a takedown request.

13. Misinformation

Debates thrive on disagreement, but deliberately sharing fabricated information designed to cause real-world harm (for example, false claims that could endanger public health or safety, or manipulated/deepfaked media presented as real) is prohibited. Good-faith opinions, predictions, satire, and debate positions — even ones we or other users disagree with — are not "misinformation." See our Misinformation Policy for how we distinguish between debate and deliberately false, harmful claims.

14. No Evading Enforcement

You may not attempt to evade an enforcement action — such as a suspension or ban — by creating a new account, using another person's account, or otherwise circumventing the restriction. Doing so is a violation in itself and will extend the original enforcement action.

15. Reporting

Every post, comment, profile, Story, and message can be reported directly in the app. When you report something, tell us what category it falls into (harassment, nudity, violence, child safety, spam, etc.) so it reaches the right review process. We review reports and take action according to our Enforcement and Appeals Policy.

16. How We Enforce These Guidelines

We may use a combination of automated systems and human review to detect and enforce violations of these Guidelines. Depending on severity, we may:

Severe violations (child exploitation, terrorism, credible threats of violence) result in immediate permanent bans without warning, and may be reported to law enforcement.

You can appeal most enforcement decisions in-app. See our Enforcement and Appeals Policy.

17. Changes

We may update these Guidelines as Xiam grows and new situations arise. We'll note material changes in-app.
